Province ready to be tourism wonderland
The United States-based Emerging Market Group wants to set up a multi-billion-dollar tourism project in northern Quang Ninh province. The firm last week met Quang Ninh provincial leaders to propose a $3 billion project in the Van Don Economic Zone, which would cover Van Don Island and represent the province’s biggest investment project.
Nghe An appeals for tourism investment

Nghe An, the largest province in the North Central part of Viet Nam, is calling on massive investment of around US $250 million in 22 projects on marine and eco-tourism from now to 2015.

Over $1.2 million to preserve Thang Long Royal Citadel

Marriott signs Hotel in Nha Trang, Viet Nam

Marriott has has signed a contract to open its first Marriott Hotels & Resorts-branded hotel in Viet Nam. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in 2013, will be Marriott International’s fifth property in the country. Construction is expected to start by year-end.

Phu Quoc: Construction begins on three-star resort

Work has begun on the SolarMoon spa/resort in the island district of Phu Quoc, southern Kien Giang province. According to Huynh Van Manh, chairman of Nhi Hiep Company, the project's owner, his company will invest 29 billion VND (1.8 million USD) for developing the project on 10,000 sq. m of land.

Gia Lai to build Sea Lake eco-tourism site

An eco-tourism site called Sea Lake on an area of over 10 hectares will be built in Gia Lai province, the Central Highlands. The project is aimed at making the best use of tourism potential of the Lake Sea in Pleiku city, contributing to improving cultural and social lives, creating jobs for locals and protecting the surrounding environment.
