Heritage house at Hang Dao Street - A valuable destination for tourist

Tourists can enjoy Ha Noi’s unique architecture with some traditional handicraft products in the house at Hang Dao Street.

Dong Lac Communal House at 38 Hang Dao Street worships the gods of Cao Son, Linh Lang, and Bach Ma. Various silk products based on 17th century Le Dynasty styles are also there.
The communal house will display and introduce traditional craft products; and host cultural exchanges for heritage lovers to introduce a new cultural space to heritage lovers and a new destination for tourists.
The house has been severely damaged over time. In 1941, it was rebuilt as residential housing and retail stores and in 1956 it was used as a convenience store. In 2000, Ha Noi authorities collaborated with the French City of Toulouse to restore the communal house.
Since January 04, Ha Noi's Old Quarter management board issued a plaque to recognise Dong Lac Communal House as a tourist destination.
Along with silk products, other craft products such as Do paper and embroidery products. Visitors can contemplate traditional building techniques combined with modern restoration techniques.
The house will become a place to display and introduce traditional craft products; and host cultural exchanges for heritage lovers.
The place is expected to be a favorite destination for tourists while exploring Ha Noi’s cultural and historical values.
