VNAT organizes roadshows in 4 cities of China

(TITC) -  From April 12-22, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) delegation led by Chairman Nguyen Van Tuan organized roadshows in 4 cities of China including Jinan, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing.

The roadshows attracted the attendance of 200-800 representatives of Chinese tourism enterprises and media.

At the roadshows, Chinese representatives highly valued Viet Nam’s tourism potential with popular sea tourism destinations as Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Nha Trang and heritage sites namely Hoi An, Hue. For years, China has been the biggest tourist market of Viet Nam. In 2017, there were more than 4 million Chinese arrivals to Viet Nam, increasing 48.6% over last year and accounting for 31% of the total int’l arrivals to Viet Nam.

According to Chairman of VNAT Nguyen Van Tuan, Viet Nam tourism roadshows were held annually in China’s cities aiming to introduce new tourism products, policies and new destinations. Also it was a good chance for tourism enterprises of the two sides to meet and seek cooperation opportunity. As the results, the number of Chinese tourists has been increasing, from approximately 1.7 million Chinese arrivals in 2015 to more than 4 million arrivals in 2017.

Chairman Nguyen Van Tuan appreciated contribution of tourism enterprises and media to Viet Nam tourism growth. He hoped to receive more ideas from Chinese businesses and media agencies to improve quality of tourism services and lure more tourists from the 4 cities in particular and other localities in China in general to Viet Nam in the coming time.
