VNAT organizes famtrip to explore tourism products in Southwestern region

(TITC) – With the purpose of promoting tourism of Southwestern region, from 28 September to 4 October 2018, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism organized famtrip to explore tourism products in this region.  


The famtrip attracted the participation of 60 representatives of tourism enterprises, news agencies in the North, the Central Highlands and the South of Viet Nam.


The famtrip explored tourism products in 7 localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang and Can Tho. The delegation visited and experienced many attractions such as river bus service in Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Lap floating village in Long An Province, Tam Nong National Park and Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House in Dong Thap Province, Sam Mountain Tourism Area in An Giang Province, Dat Mui in Ca Mau Province, Doi (Bat) Pagoda and Dat Set (Clay) Pagoda in Soc Trang Province, Truc Lam Phuong Nam Monastery in Can Tho City…


In the framework of the famtrip, VNAT held the Workshop on Developing agritourism in Long Xuyen City (Long An Province) on 1 October 2018 and the Seminar on Developing tourism in Mekong Delta in Can Tho City on 4 October 2018. These activities aimed at promoting tourism products of Mekong Delta, seeking solutions to local tourism development and tourism product linkage to effectively lure visitors to the region, offering opportunity for tourism enterprises to cooperate in tourism promotion…
