VNAT hosts famtrip to survey tourism products along Da River

(TITC) - From November 5-9, 2018, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) hosted a famtrip to survey tourism products in 4 provinces along Da River including Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La and Hoa Binh.

The famtrip with the participation of Viet Nam’s tour operators and media agencies aimed to evaluate tourism potential, infrastructure, services, cultural identity, natural landscapes of the four localities, thereby improving quality of services and diversifying tourism products, promoting tourism values of attractions along Da River.

Accordingly, the delegates visited Lai Chau Hydropower Plant, Temple of King Le Thai To (Lai Chau Province); Pe Rang Ky caves, Pu Vap relic, community-based tourism village Na Nat, Huoi Long Village (Dien Bien Province); Son La Hydropower Plant, Ngam Village (Son La Province); Mai Chau Hideway Resort, Thung Nai, spiritual tourist site Chua Thac Bo Temple, Da Bia Village (Hoa Binh Province), etc.

Da River passes through the four Northwest provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau and Dien Bien featuring wonderful landscapes, magnificent mountains, pristine forests. In addition, thanks to unique cultural identity of ethnic people living along Da River namely Mong, Lu, Thai, Dao, Muong and historical and spiritual attractions, it’s favorable for the provinces to develop varied types of tourism such as cultural tourism, community-based tourism, spiritual tourism, etc.

Currently, many tourism products have been created along the Da River like waterway transportation, restaurants, homestays, eco-tourist sites, historical relic which help lure more visitors and improve the lives of local people.

Building tourist destinations along Da River will be a focus in tourism development strategies of the localities in the coming time.
