VNAT promotes Viet Nam tourism in Shenzhen, China

(TITC) – On 23 May 2019, the delegation of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) led by Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu organized roadshow to introduce Viet Nam tourism in Shenzhen (China), following tourism promotion activities in Chinese cities of Chengdu and Chongqing.  

In his opening speech, Mr. Ha Van Sieu – Vice Chairman of VNAT informed that in the recent years, the number of Chinese visitors to Viet Nam has been growing continuously, but is still modest in comparison with the number of Chinese people traveling abroad. Vice Chairman Sieu expressed his hope that Chinese authorities and busineses would closely cooperate with Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism so that Viet Nam would increasingly attract visitors from young, dynamic and developing cities like Shenzhen. In addition, tourism enterprises in Viet Nam has constantly improved the quality of services to satisfy visitors and partners.

At the event, Director of Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports emphasized that Viet Nam boasts abundant tourism resources, many favourite destinations such as Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay, Nha Trang and Mui Ne ... Shenzhen has opened many direct flights, as well as sea routes to Viet Nam. Shenzhen tourists to Viet Nam increased steadily over the years. In 2018, the number of Shenzhen visitors to Viet Nam through travel companies reached 110,000 arrivals. He expressed his belief that the event would create opportunities for tourism businesses of two sides to meet, exchange and cooperate more and more intimately.

Shenzhen is the largest border city near Macao and Hong Kong, is also one of China's most important outbound markets. Infrastructure and flight routes between the two sides become increasingly convenient. The Shenzhen – Ha Noi air route has been restored since January 2019; Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) welcomed the first international flight from Shenzhen at 1:00 am on 27 May 2019 and will continue to receive flights of Hekou - Van Don on 10 July 2019 and Guangzhou – Van Don on 4 August 2019.

On this occasion, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism and Vietnamese enterprises had a meeting with major businesses, travel agencies of Shenzhen. The two sides discussed solutions to enhance tourism cooperation in the coming time. The two sides agreed to strengthen attracting high-class visitors to various destinations in Viet Nam.

On 22 May 2019, the Vietnamese delegation also had a meeting with the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports. The two sides strive for cooperation to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises to boost tourist exchange.
