Viet Nam tourism roadshow in Moscow, Russia

(TITC)- In the framework of 70th anniversary of Viet Nam-Russia diplomatic relations, on May 23, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the roadshow introducing Vietnamese cuisine and tourism in Moscow of Russian Federation.

The event had the participation of more than 300 delegates from Vietnamese Chef Association, aviation, travel and hotel associations (Focus Travel, Anex Tour, Bamboo Airways, FLC Group, Sun Group, Vinpearl, Incentra...); diplomatic missions in Moscow, travel bloggers, journalists and tourism businesses.

There were many activities within the framework of the roadshow including: providing information about Viet Nam’s tourism policies; introducing tourism products of Viet Nam tourism businesses, hotels and aviation; organizing meetings between Viet Nam and Russia tourism enterprises; showing traditional art performances; introducing Vietnamese cuisine made by top chefs of Vietnamese Chef Association.

Speaking at the roadshow, Mr. Ngo Hoai Chung – Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism affirmed that Viet Nam always welcome Russian tourists, investors and businesses. VNAT has always been supporting tourism business to attract more Russia tourists to Viet Nam.

According to the statistics, in 2018, the number of Russian visitors to Viet Nam reached 607 thousand arrivals, up 5.7% compared to 2017. In the first 4 months of 2019, the number was 273 thousand arrivals, an increase of 4.5% compared to the same period of 2018.

As sheduled, VNAT will continue to organize tourism roadshow in Vladivostok, the regional capital of Primorsky on May 27.
