Number of Russians on holidays in VN rise suddenly

{mosimage}As many as 17,746 Russians spent their holidays in Viet Nam in the first nine months of this year, a surge of 111.3 percent over the responding period last year.

"This is a sudden rise," the Viet Nam Tourism Administration said, adding that Russia climbed to the second place in terms of the growth rate in the number of visitors coming to Viet Nam.

According to Dang Bao Hieu, Director of the Trong Diem Travel and Trade Company, Russian visitors often take trans-Viet Nam tours which last between 10 to 20 days.

The Viet Nam Tourism Administration reported that 2.56 million foreign holiday makers came to Viet Nam in the past nine months, a 20.6 percent increase over the same time last year.
