A project to develop a complex dedicated to the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea was launched on January 17 in Thanh Hai commune, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province.
The restoration and upgrade of the 100-year-old Huynh Phu mansion in the southern province of Ben Tre has started, with an estimated cost of US$1.7 million.   
The Mekong Delta is renowned for its floating markets which are typical of the Phung Hiep and Cai Be districts.
In the first six months of 2012, 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong River Delta greeted nearly 11 million tourist arrivals, including nearly 1 million foreign tourists, a 13.18 percent increase, said the Mekong Delta Tourism Association (MDTA).
