Colourful lanterns to cast glow around Hoan Kiem Lake at Mid-autumn festival

Hundreds of lanterns will cast their glow across the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake in Ha Noi, on the evening of September 13, the fourteenth day of the eighth lunar month.

A tourism information centre opened in Ha Noi recently, promising to bring tourists more options to discover the capital city and beautiful places nearby.
Ha Noi authorities plan to open nine more pedestrian areas in the Old Quarter in October this year.
(TITC) – From 1 September 2016, Ha Noi City officially opened pedestrian zone around the Hoan Kiem Lake from 19:00 on Friday to 24:00 on Sunday every week. The initiative will be piloted by the end of this year.
Ha Noi’s tourism sector welcomed over 207,000 visitors during the National Day holiday from September 2-6, a year-on-year rise of 22%, according to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism.
