VNAT hosts famtrip to explore sea and island tourism products in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai

(TITC)- From 18 to 22 June 2019, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism organized famtrip to explore sea and island tourism products in provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.

About 550 participants, including top archaeologists, geologists, volcano researchers and historians from Việt Nam and around the world, will take part in the International Conference on the Lý Sơn-Sa Huỳnh Geo-Park in the central province of Quảng Ngãi on June 18-19.
Chairman of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council Guy Martini has expressed his hope that the central province of Quang Ngai will submit the dossiers of the Ly Son geopark to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to seek a global status next year.
Archaeologists and divers have recently discovered an underwater stone arch in Ly Son district in the central province of Quang Ngai, adding it to the list of must-visit places in the island district.
The central province of Quang Ngai will hold the 1st Ly Son Culture Tourism Week from June 29 to July 3, the Ly Son district People’s Committee said recently. 
Authorities in the island district of Ly Son, a famous tourist site in the central province of Quang Ngai Province, have issued a code of conduct for the tourism industry, including dos and don’ts for local residents, travellers and service providers. 
The central province of Quang Ngai should turn its Ly Son island district into a distinctive geomorphological tourism site, said Associate Professor Dr. Vu Cao Minh from the Institute of Geological Sciences under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Ly Son Marine Reserve in central Quang Ngai Province, covering Ly Son Island and its surrounding areas, has a water surface of more than 7,100 hectares.
Nearly 2,500 tourists visited Ly Son Island District offshore the central province of Quang Ngai during the first day of the National Day holiday (September 2), said an official.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has called for a street art contest with the theme ‘I love the ocean, and I’m born to be wild’ in An Binh Islet commune during ‘Ocean week’ from June 1-8.
A high-speed boat is being put into use to reduce transport time between Sa Ky Wharf to Ly Son Island in the central province of Quang Ngai to 25 minutes.
