Quang Ngai sets sights on welcoming over 1.2 million visitors during 2020

The south-central coastal province of Quang Ngai has stated its aim of receiving over 1.2 million visitors in 2020 and earning an estimated tourism revenue of VND1,200 billion.

The number of visitors to the island district of Ly Son in the central province of Quang Ngai has surged sharply since the beginning of the year in comparison with last year’s figures to more than 140,000, with the projected figure expected to reach 300,000 visitors by the end of the year.
Korean athlete Park Joon Seok triumphed in the Quang Ngai Open Paragliding Championship 2019, which concluded on Ly Son island on June 24.
The 2nd Ly Son Culture Tourism Week took place in Ly Son island, the central province Quang Ngai under the theme “Ly Son-quintessence of heritage”. It aims to raise awareness about protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.
The heritage value of Ly Son – Sa Huynh geopark was spotlighted at an international conference held in Quang Ngai province on June 18.
The Quang Ngai Open Paragliding Championship 2019 officially kicked off for the first time on Ly Son Island, on June 22, as part of the second Ly Son Culture Tourism Week 2019.

A photo festival opened in Quang Ngai Province on May 9, with a focus on the land and people in the South Central and Central Highlands regions.
The island district of Ly Son, 30km off the coast of the central province of Quang Ngai, will open a night market for tourists on the island in May.
