(TITC) - In the frame work of National Tourism Year of the Red River Delta – Hai Phong 2013, from 9th to 17th May, in Hai Phong City, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of the Red Delta River – Hai Phong 2013 associated with the 2nd Red Flamboyant Festival Hai Phong will take place.  
In recent years, cruise tourism has become one of the strengths of Quang Ninh tourism. Although affected by the world economic crisis, in the first months of 2013, cruise liners still regularly bring tourists to Ha Long.
The event, the seventh of its kind, is part of activities to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963).  
According to the "Overall plan for Vietnam's tourism development until 2020, with a vision to 2030" approved by the Prime Minister, Vietnam targets to develop seven tourism regions providing diversified tourism products representing the character of each region. Tourism experts believe that Vietnam's tourism outlook by 2020 will be comprehensive and attractive, turning tourism into a key economic sector. 
(TITC) - Responding to National Tourism Year of Red River Delta – Hai Phong 2013, Viet Nam International Travel Mart 2013 (VITM 2013) with the theme “Exploring the Red River Delta - The source of Vietnamese culture” officially closed on 21st April after 4 days with many exciting, plentiful activities and attracted a large number of visitors.
(TITC)- The opening ceremony of the Viet Nam International Travel Mart (VITM 2013) was held on April 18 at the International Center for Exhibition (91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ha Noi).
Local authorities of Quang Yen town of the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 17 held a ceremony to mark the 725th anniversary of Bach Dang victory over Mongol invaders under the leadership of General Tran Hung Dao. Earlier on April 16, Bach Dang festival officially kicked off in the town.
The northern coastal province of Quang Ninh and the International Culture Association WANOKAI (Japan) have worked together on ways to spur tourism development.
On April 9, in Ha Long city, a Press meeting was held to announce 2013 Ha Long Carnival program. It was attended by Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Vice-Chairwoman of QNPPC and Head of the Carnival Organizing Board, and a large number of reporters from local and central press agencies.
The northern province of Quang Ninh has officially ceased the loading, unloading and transportation of goods, including clinker, cement and wood chips at Ha Long Bay.
