New approach in building model of craft village-based tourism

Developing craft village-based tourism has been eyed as a direction for boosting socio-economic factors in many localities in the Red River Delta. However, such a model has not yet been well implemented, requiring a new approach in building a sound model which can preserve and promote the cultural values of traditional villages while facilitating tourism growth.

Traditional villages possess many cultural values and great potential for tourism development; however, their ways of thinking and creative methods need to be innovated to awaken this potential.
The northern province of Ha Nam will be developed into a resort centre in the Red River Delta region by 2030, according to the locality’s master plan for tourism development for 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The Tich Dien (Ploughing Festival), an annual festival held on the seventh day of the Lunar New Year to pray for a year of bumper harvests, opened in the Red River Delta province of Ha Nam on February 22.
Located in the southeast of the Red River Delta, Nam Dinh Province retains many traditions, customs, beliefs, festivals, traditional crafts, and historical and cultural relics. The province has become a popular tourist destination in recent years.
