Da Nang sees significant growth in foreign visitors in 2017

The central coastal city of Da Nang saw a significant growth in international tourist arrivals in 2017, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.

The central region of Viet Nam will play an important role in Viet Nam’s tourism development until 2020 and vision to 2030. But the regional tourism growth has not matched local tourism potential. Connecting tourist destinations is one likely solution.

Ha Noi welcomed 3.2 million international tourist arrivals in the first ten months of 2016, up 23 percent year-on-year and close to the figure recorded in 2015 (3.36 million), according to the municipal Department of Tourism.
Khanh Hoa Province received 3.1 million tourists in the past 8 months of 2016 (a 11% increase year-on-year), including over 740,400 foreigners (a 26% increase year-on-year). 8-month tourism turnover of the province hit VND5,646 billion, a 20.8% rise year-on-year, reported the provincial Department of Tourism.
According to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the province’s tourism kept good growth in all norms in July.
(TITC) – According to the General Statistics Office, Viet Nam welcomed approximately 833,598 international tourist arrivals in February 2016, increasing 3.5% over previous month and 20% compared to the same period last year.
The number of international tourist arrivals grew by 4% in the first half of 2015 according to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. Destinations worldwide received some 538 million international tourists between January and June 2015, an increase of 21 million compared to the same period of 2014.
