Pushing promotion of Cao Bang GeoPark

- In order to enhance the promotion of Cao Bang Geopark, from 12-15 Septemper 2019, the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with Cao Bang People's Committee will organize a tourism fieldtrip for media agencies.

According to the schedule, the delegation will visit 3 geological routes in Cao Bang Geopark including: the eastern route "Experience traditional cultures in a wonderland” with a scenic viewpoint of Ma Phuc pass, angel eye of Nam Chua mountain (Tra Linh District); Phia Thap incense village and Pac Rang forging village (Quang Uyen District); Khuoi Ky stone village, Nguom Ngao cave, Ban Gioc waterfall (Trung Khanh District); hand-rolled fossil sites, Sung Phuc Pagoda (Ha Lang District).

The northern route, themed "Experience history and freedom" includes De Doong temple, Nguom Boc cave, Nguom Slua cave rock garden, King Le temple (Hoa An District); Luong No brocade village, Keo Yen panorama, Lung Luong ammonites, Nung Chi Cao temple, Pac Bo relic area (Ha Quang District).

The western route "Experience Phia Oac - the mountains of transformations" includes geological heritage sites, Dao Tien weaving village, the national level relic of Tran Hung Dao forest, museums and memorial houses of General Vo Nguyen Giap, Phia Oac - Phia Den ecological area (Phia Den salmon farm, Kolia farm).

Ban Gioc Waterfall

On September 12, 2019, in Cao Bang city, the media delegation will attend the press conference on 520th Anniversary of Cao Bang Province.

Located in the Northeast region, Cao Bang boasts diverse landscape of mountains, forests, rivers and streams. On April 12, 2018, UNESCO recognized the Cao Bang Geopark as a UNESCO Global Geopark. It was the 5th UNESCO Global Geopark in Southeast Asia and the 2nd in Viet Nam (after Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark). The park covers an area of more than 3,275 km2, located in the area of 9 districts with many beautiful landscapes and historical sites.
