- In the morning February 7, 2021, the first flight route connecting Ha Noi Capital with Rach Gia City (Kien Giang Province) was officially opened by Bamboo Airways.

At 9:00 am this day, Bamboo Airways flight QH1671 landed at Rach Gia Airport in Rach Gia City, marking the opening of flight route connecting Ha Noi Capital with a seaside city in the South. This is the first direct flight connecting Rach Gia and Ha Noi.

With using modern aircraft of the Embraer 190, Bamboo Airways' air route connecting Ha Noi with Rach Gia has flight duration of 2 hours 20 minutes, with frequency of 7 flights / week, which helps passengers in Kien Giang and also its neighboring provinces such as An Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau ... having more options when they want to travel to Ha Noi Capital, instead of moving to Can Tho Airport as before.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh, Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways said that depending on the actual demand to Rach Gia, the airline would continue to research and promote to increase the frequency of existing routes, as well as to exploit new routes for serving domestic and foreign passengers, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of the locality in particular and the country in general.

Previously, on February 4, Bamboo Airways put into operation a flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Rach Gia and at the end of January, put into operation the route of Can Tho - Phu Quoc Island City (Kien Giang).
