PM: Considering application of “vaccine passport” for resumption of international air routes, supporting tourism and aviation recovery

– This was the direction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the national online conference of the Standing Government Committee with the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and localities on March 17.

Currently, COVID-19 pandemic in the world is declining, many countries have been deploying mass vaccine rollouts, including Vietnam.

The Prime Minister asked relevant ministries to consider step-by-step reopening of international air routes, prepare for application of "vaccine passport". The Ministry of Health coordinates with relevant ministries to consider appropriate measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission when applying "vaccine passport".

At the meeting, the Prime Minister also asked to launch supporting packages for businesses and laborers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those working in the tourism sector.
