Vietnam and Korea strengthen research cooperation for tourism recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic

– The online seminar on “Safety for tourists during the pandemic – Recovery tourism after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic” took place on October 22 with the attendance of nearly 200 representatives of tourism authorities and businesses, experts, scientists from Vietnam and Korea.

The seminar held by Institute for Tourism Development Research (under Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) in collaboration with Korea Culture and Tourism Institute aims to share information and experience, find more effective solutions for restarting and restoring tourism in the new normal.

The participants focused on discussing the topics of: Ensuring safety for tourists during the pandemic period; Creating new smart tourism products; Impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism industry and solutions to safety for tourists during the pandemic period; tourism policies from the Covid-19 outbreak; and Vietnam's tourism recovery plan.

The Director of Korea Culture and Tourism Institute highly appreciated the initiative and topic of the seminar given by Institute for Tourism Development Research, very meaningful for planning tourism recovery of the two countries.

The presentations at the seminar provided a lot of useful information for tourism stakeholders of the two sides to define and effectively pilot tourism recovery solutions.
