- In order to ensure safety for tourists before the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, on April 29, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) organized four delegations to inspect the COVID-19 prevention in tourism activities in Quang Ninh Province (North), Thanh Hoa Province (North Central), Da Nang City (Central), and Kien Giang Province (South).

– On April 28, in Ha Noi, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh chaired an online conference with 14 tourism departments of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Thua Thien Hue, Ninh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Binh Dinh and Thanh Hoa.
– On April 15, in Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam Tourism Association (VISTA), Vietnam National Administration of Tourism - VNAT (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Ninh Binh’s People Committee co-organized Domestic Tourism Forum 2021 under the theme "Domestic tourism – A driving force to recover Vietnam tourism in the new normal context”.
– The workshop was organized by Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office (MTCO) and supported by Asian Development Bank (ADB) on March 30, 2021.
– On March 24, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism had a meeting with relevant ministries to discuss about international tourism reopening plan. The plan is built in order to implement the direction of Prime Minister about reopening international tourism in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.
– On March 10th, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu had a virtual meeting with Director of Planet Happiness project, Mr. Paul Roger.
– On March 3rd, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Le Phuc attended 2nd Viet Nam - Saint Petersburg Tourism Online Forum. More than 60 tourism businesses registered for online participation.
- This was the direction of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung in a meeting with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to implement the work plan for 2021.
- On January 21, 2021, at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) cooperated with Google to launch project "Google Arts & Culture - Wonders of Vietnam”.
The growing trend of green tourism and rural tourism experience is anticipated to thrive in the near future as it starts to replace traditional tourism services at hotels and resorts, according to Ngo Hoai Chung, deputy director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
