The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is making preparations for a recovery of the tourism market amid a new COVID-19 outbreak.

The tourism market has recovered since mid-April when social distancing measures against COVID-19 were eased, heard a conference held in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa on May 16.
Accordingly, when Vietnam announces the pandemic ending in Vietnam, the ministry will focus on stimulating the domestic tourism market and coordinating with airlines, transport and travel firms to exempt or reduce service fees, including air tickets, accommodation costs and visiting fees.
Viet Nam was the fastest growing tourism market of Japan with rise of 125.9 percent in 2018, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)’s 2019 white paper on tourism that was released on June 21.  
This year’s long Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays have made for a busy tourism market, with higher sales in tours both inside the country and abroad.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines conducted 365 flights between Viet Nam and Indonesia in 2015, carrying more than 100,000 passengers and over 1,000 tonnes of cargos.

The Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year holidays are nearing. The year-end tourism market is becoming increasingly busy. In the current period with numerous difficulties facing the economy, travel companies have launched promotional campaigns to attract tourists.
