Vietnam Responsible Tourism Toolkit
A core activity of the ESRT Programme is to raise awareness of Responsible Tourism. For this purpose, a Responsible Tourism Toolkit has been prepared for Vietnam with the mission to generate a greater understanding amongst all stakeholders of the social and environmental impacts of tourism and ways and means by which the negative impacts may be minimised and positive impacts enhanced to create a more sustainable tourism industry in the long term.

The certificate of the sustainable tourism Green Lotus Label (Green Lotus Label) is granted to tourism accommodation which meet standards on environmental protection and sustainable development, making efforts to protect the environment, use natural resources and energy efficiently, contribute to preservation of heritage and development of the local economy, culture and society, and pursue sustainable tourism development.

The Handbook Instruction For Green Lotus Label
The Ministry of Cultures, Sports and Tourism issued the criteria of Tourism Sustainable Label for Accommodation – Green Lotus Label in April 2012. This is a tool to evaluate, manage the environmental protection in Vietnam’s tourist accommodation establishment system to improve the awareness, knowledge and consciousness in environmental protection towards sustainable development in tourism industry of Vietnam.
