The equipment provision for ten community centres and five tourism schools is under the auspices of the ESRT Programme. This activity is designed to support local communities in tourism vocational training towards sustainably responsible tourism development.
Attending the handover ceremony, representatives from the ESRT Programme were Mr. Vu Quoc Tri Programme Director and Mr. Truong Nam Thang, Sector Development Manager; representatives from Mang Canh community centre were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truyen, Deputy Director of Kon Tum Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and many administrators and local residents in Mang Canh. Noticeably, there was the attendance of Ms. Berenice Muraille, Head of Cooperation and Development section of the EU Delegation to Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Berenice highly appreciated the efforts of the ESRT Programme in developing responsible tourism in Vietnam in general and improving tourism vocational skills for the communities in particular through such meaningful activity. She also expressed her acceptance and support to the coming training courses provided by the ESRT Programme for 15 provinces including ten community centres and five tourism vocational schools in order to utilise this modern equipment.
