The training course was attended by 29 officials from 18 Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Forest Protection Departments and the Management Units of National Parks and Natural Conservation Areas of various provinces, ranging from Quang Tri to Dong Thap.
The training content covers theoretical lessons together with team work and highly interactive games to facilitate an easy understanding and flexible application in practical circumstance. Beside the overall content, the training courses put focus on clarifying tourism development issues in local conservation areas, based on which responsible tourism principles are integrated into planning in these areas. Promotion, public relations, tourist impact management and monitoring are also reviewed from the perspective of responsible tourism. The training courses also give a key orientation for development of responsible tourism products in each destination.
The training quality is highly appreciated by participants. However, most of them expressed their desire that the training course should be extended to increase the opportunity for learning and sharing knowledge and experiences with the two trainers of ESRT Programme and the colleagues.
