On July 22nd, 2013, the workshop on Training Need Assessment (TNA) in Tourism took place in Hanoi to present the outcomes from a mission undertaken by international and local experts from April to July 2013.

The Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme recently concluded a series of training courses for tourism services and management officials in Quang Ninh province. The final course was held from June 15th to June 20th 2013, following two prior training courses given by ESRT in March the same year and December 2012.

The People's Committee of Hoi An City conducted the opening ceremony of the new, improved Hoi An Tourist Information Centre, in collaboration with UNESCO officials and local partners.

The OECD-ASEAN Training on Investment Policy Making in the CLMV to Support the Initiative for ASEAN Integration took place on June 12th – 14th in Da Nang.

On May 29th, 2013, the second meeting of the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) took place in Hanoi which was convened to discuss about the TAB’s organisational and operational procedures.

On May 16th 2013, a three-day training course on Tourist Information Centre (TIC) operations took place in Hoi An; a joint collaboration between the European Union-funded ESRT Programme, UNESCO and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Quang Nam.
