Responsible Tourism Showcase - VITM 2014

The ESRT Programme has thrown its support once again behind the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) to be held from 3-6 April 2014 in Hanoi.

The VITM aims to promote the development of tourism, to attract domestic and international visitors to Vietnam, and to develop regional co-operation through the participation of neighbouring countries.

Agenda for Workshop "Responsible Tourism Facing Impacts of Climate Change"

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will organize a workshop on "Responsible Tourism Facing Impacts of Climate Change" with technical support from Institute of Tourism Development & Research (ITDR) and the Environmentally & Socially Responsible Tourism Programme (ESRT).

Guest Surveys In Five Tourism Destinations

From March 3rd to April 17th, 2014, the ESRT Programme conducts guest surveys in five destinations, including Sa Pa, Ha Long Bay, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam.

Workshop On Enhancing Special Value Of Dien Bien Phu Historical Relics

Workshop on the theme of “Enhancing special value of Dien Bien Phu historical relics to promote Dien Bien tourism development in the connection with Northwest region” was held on March 13th, 2014 by Dien Bien People’s Committee in collaboration with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the ESRT Programme. This is one of the most outstanding activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7th, 1954).

Capacity Building Support For The Institute Of Tourism Development And Research (ITDR)

With the purpose of enhancing the capacity of the Institute for Tourism Development in the context of rapid growth of tourism sector in Vietnam and other countries in the region, the ESRT Programme funded by EU has been implemented supporting activities for the Institute since 2014 (towards 2015 as expected).

Handover Of Equipment To Kon Tum Province

On February 28th, 2014, the ESRT Programme officially handed over the equipment to Mang Canh community centre in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.
