The Technical Report on Central Coast Vietnam Regional Tourism Product Development was developed by experts of the EU-ESRT Programme in order to strengthen destination management and marketing regional tourism products for three provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang. The report provided an background analysis of tourism context in the region, on this basis, the priority tourism products were identified and assessed to connect and develop for creating a regional destination.

The Vietnam Homestay Operations Manual has been designed as a compendium to the homestay operator training material developed by the EU-funded High Impact Tourism Training Programme for the Informal Sector (HITT) Vietnam supported by the EU-funded Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Programme (ESRT). The manual provides an overview of the key topics from the HITT homestay operator training course including basic hospitality skills such as customer service, housekeeping and food and beverage service, through to small business management skills such as basic marketing and accounting. The manual may be of interest to existing or potential homestay operators and staff as well as practitioners and trainers working in the field community based tourism and homestay management.

The Guide may be of interest to Provincial, District and Local Tourism Authorities, Non-Government Organisations working with tourism destinations, private sector organisations of tourist attraction sites, or alternatively local communities who may themselves wish to drive the development of a TIC in their locality.

Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy (Executive Summary)

With the purpose of guiding the development and marketing of tourism in a controlled and sustainable manner, the ESRT Programme supported Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in developing Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2020 and Action Plan 2013 – 2015 (Proposed). Grounded in the Government’s Strategy for Tourism Development in Vietnam to 2020, Vision 2030, this tourism marketing strategy was aimed at developing quality products based on the natural strengths of Vietnam’s seven tourism zones with a focus on marine/beach tourism, cultural tourism, and nature-based tourism. Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy targeted three objectives: economic, social and environmental and also focused on tourism developing and marketing in various markets such as: Asia-Pacific market, Western market, emerging markets like Middle East and India.
